Gallbladder neuroendocrine tumor (NET) is a rare cause of primary gallbladder carcinoma, and cannot be easily detected by conventional radiologic study such as computed tomography (CT) or sonography. Porcelain gallbladder is also rare. Therefore, gallbladder NET accompanying porcelain gallbladder is very rare. We report here on a 75-year-old woman with gallbladder NET accompanying porcelain gallbladder, abdominal CT showed a porcelain gallbladder with a multilobulated mass lesion invading liver segment 8. Extended cholecystectomy was performed and the microscopic features of the resected specimen confirmed the diagnosis of gallbladder NET and porcelain gallbladder. Gallbladder NET accompanying porcelain gallbladder has not been reported. We report on this unusual case along with a review of the relevant literature.
